I've spent more than 25 years developing software for businesses, from new applications and APIs to established systems that need maintaining, extending or modernising.

Multi-tenant questionnaire platform

The project

Built and delivered "Capture", a flexible multi-tenant questionnaire application. Questionnaires can be configured and sent to specified contacts, with responses handled through the application.

My work

✓ Built the application using the TALL stack

✓ Integrated Courier for email delivery
✓ Used Shlink for reusable short URLs
✓ Exposed secure API endpoints using Laravel Sanctum

Working with an existing platform

Alongside the new application, I provided support, code reviews and bug fixes for Finfo's flagship multi-tenant reporting platform, used by several high-profile clients.

Working within an established codebase

The role involved both developing new functionality and improving existing software, with an emphasis on making the codebase easier to maintain while continuing to deliver business requirements.

Legacy PHP platform redevelopment

The project

Reworked a legacy PHP e-commerce platform into a microservice-based backend, separating the application's functionality behind a REST API.

Modernising an established application

The project involved replacing an existing monolithic PHP application with a more modular backend while preserving and migrating the existing business data and functionality.
